Emergency First Response
Emergency First Response
The Emergency First Response course prepares you for situations where people need immediate medical attention.
You will be provided with a textbook that you can study at your own pace.
Then you will have practice in non-stressful conditions for a good consolidation of the theory.
This course is not limited by age, but awareness and understanding of the material is required.
Theory and exercises are divided into 3 parts:
Primary Care – in this part we will teach you 9 skills that are used when the victim does not have a breath or heartbeat for example. You will also learn how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and how to monitor the patient afterwards to increase the chances of survival.
Secondary Care (First Aid) – in this section you will learn more about how to help the victim when nothing directly threatens their life. Medical care may be late or unable to reach the scene of the accident, in which case you will know how to relieve pain and reduce the risk of further complications.
CPR & AED (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automatic external difibrillator) – This part delves into the practice of CPR and the use of AEDs.
The EFR course is great for the whole family!
